ModeratorThis shouldn’t really happen. I don’t know of any tool that would do that.
However, try using file manager app and see if there is a file with another
namwe in destination folder (I don’t exactly remember now whether it’s same name
and different extension or completely different name). If there is try copying
it to another location and change the extension. If that fails, you can check previews in the folder:
Android/data/com.fstop.photo/cacheIs this problem reproducable, does it happen every time?

ModeratorCurrently cloud images are not supported as much as local images, and they can be accessed only in the Cloud Services section. They can’t be used in smart albums, All media, etc.

ModeratorUnfortunately there is nothing you can do. The only place where image names are written is database, which most likely you won’t be able to access on your old device.
It’s located in the
“/data/user/0/com.fstop.photo/files/FStop_PhotoAlbum”
You can also try this path
“storage/emulated/0/data/data/com.fstop.photo/files/FStop_PhotoAlbum”
but I think you won’t be able to access this file. If you can please copy it somewhere and let me know and we will try to find a way to recover your file names.Goran
ModeratorI completely understand your issue, and hopefully we will have better EXIF editor one day (maybe not in so distant future).

ModeratorWhich folder was it? As it seems it was not an ordinary folder (normal folders are usually accessible in all Android versions), maybe that can give me some clue.

ModeratorNumber 1 will give you smaller thumbnails.

ModeratorIf it works to Google drive and GMail it usually means that F-Stop does send correct data. What Dropbox app (I suppose you use Dropbox app for uploading) does with the data is out of F-Stop’s control. Maybe you should contract them and see why they can’t upload the image. Maybe they don’t support custom providers (which they should).
We had a few issues when WhatsApp was not handling data correctly and we created workarounds for that, but it’s not always possible to do it, as connection to some other app may break then.Goran
ModeratorI’d say it has something to do with number of images, though it’s hard to say. I know that rescanning 46000+ images is slow and tedious, but as I can not reproduce the issue, this will be hard to solve. I suggest maybe you could try downgrade couple of versions to find where the issue started. Also, it would be beneficial to know whether this also happens when you have only 4000-5000 images in database.
Maybe you should contact me by email, so I can send you previous versions.Goran
ModeratorTo hide stars and heart and info you just simply long press on the image, to switch to full screen. You can also tap on left most icon in the image viewer and disable panels you don’t need.
As for 2 row grid (did you mean 2 column grid) you can use pinch gesture to change number of columns.

ModeratorI have one question for all of you who miss WebDAV (or any other cloud service). Do you miss a lot functionality to mix local and cloud images or is separation (as is now in F-Stop) good enough?

ModeratorUnder “Settings//Main//Included folders” do you see “Scanning type”? If you do, which option is selected? Does changing to other option makes any difference?
Also, do I understand correctly, that even if you do not really save metadata, it will still not show folder?
Even if you change just one image in a folder with ten images, it won’t show any images? Is the folder visible in the list of folder so you can tap on it (and not show any images), or is the folder itself missing?September 9, 2021 at 8:14 am in reply to: Thumbnails, album order, logical operators and search function #8185Goran
ModeratorActually the answer to all your questions is the same: because it hasn’t been implemented yet. We have an endless todo list and it takes time to implement features.

ModeratorNo it is not intended behavior, but it is default behavior of Android. This gray overlay you are seeing is actually focus indicator. I will disable it in the next release.

ModeratorThanks for the update. Yes, like you noticed modification date is changed, which should be normal since file changed. And you can also sort by “Date taken”, which still gives you correct order.

ModeratorWe do plan to add more features to slideshow, but first we need to rewrite the whole image viewer part of the app, which is not small task.
