ParticipantHey! Loving F-Stop, but there’s a tiny quirk that’s kind of annoying me quite a bit.
The app works perfectly when it comes to pictures I’ve shot with my camera (whether through the official app, or Twitter, for example).
However, when I save a picture from somewhere (Firefox, E-Mails, Twitter, Facebook, ArtFlow…) the date is always displayed as “January 1970.01.01” for some reason. This is regardless of whether I’m viewing folders or tags. What’s up with that?I’m using a Galaxy Note 4 with Android 5.0.1.

KeymasterIs this still happening? We recently changed the way dates are handled.

ParticipantHey Jason.
Now the pictures that were displayed as “January 1970” are simply displayed as “Unknown Date”. I guess it’s the fault of the pictures themselves, and “Unknown Date” is definitely preferrable to some other random date.
I’m sorting my pictures with the combined option of “Date created and Date changed”, which so far has been working out well for me, even if some pictures still have an unknown date, which again, is probably just the fault of my pictures.
So, as far as I’m concerned, the issue has been resolved. Thanks you very much for your work and feedback! 🙂

Just wanted to say that the issue with dates before January 1970 is now fixed in version 4.0.6. Please let me know how this works for you.
