      I have all of my images in folders. When I select a folder it of course all the thumbnails in that folder. At the top right just above the thumbnails is the image count within that folder but what is that digit at the top left of the thumbnails? It’s usually a 0,1,2,or S? Some folders of images “camera roll” have the images split into sections with a different digit in the top left of each section? Can these be removed?
      My image folders don’t contain any sub folders.

      The top area you are referring to is what we call a header. We display it when grouping is enabled in the sort menu (default). It looks like you are sorting by “Name” and we are displaying the first letter of that group.

      Is it possible to sort by name without having the initial letter of the file name please?

      The answer is to clear (untick) the Show Groups option.
