  I agree. I use a lot of Webp images and haven’t found an efficient quality way of converting them on mobile. I have other apps that will play/animate them so it must be possible within the app.

  Just to resurrect this, webp animations are becoming as ubiquitous as gifs nowadays. When I saw this wasn’t supported yet, I nearly refunded the product, but there are too many positives. Regardless, I’d love to see it implemented.

  Please implement this, I see more of these webp animated files than I see animated GIFs. This is the new standard. It’s 2026 and it looks like people have been asking for this feature since 2019. I’m pretty sure Claude code could add this feature in a few minutes, let’s vibe code this and get it done. Other than this we have a great app. But it’s getting to the point where I need to start looking for alternatives.
