I am one of those people, who don`t work with Dropbox or Google Drive. So I’d like to use F-Stop with my personal Cloud (Nextcloud).

Most good Cloud storage services have webdav API. As a professional photographer Google Drive or Dropbox is far too small.
Using Stack from TransIP. It also has a webdav API.
I’m hoping webdav is high on your feature list.
F-Stop is a vital tool in my daily business operations.
      Please implement webdav support

F-stop could be the best photo gallery for me if it would support webdav or especially nextcloud. For the time being I have to keep QuickPic too.

I wonder why there is a feature request option in this forum if there is never any feedback on a question?

Hi, I also miss the Webdav support a lot. If adding Cloud-features, then universal Webdav is the most important for me, more than all the commercial and proprietary clouds like Drive, Dropbox etc.

I understand that not every single app can add all the cloud features. It would be more appropriate to have a global filesystem mount for those and all the apps can use that. But with fixed mounted network filesystems it is often blocking on linux when using mobile networks and switching networks a lot. Then there is automount and stuff….
But to be honest for most of the files on my Webdav cloud I’m very happy with the Solid Explorer app. I’m using that for years, and it’s the best file browser for me, supporting all the clouds. I could also browse the pictures there, it has a nice scalable icon preview and a picture viewer addon. But picture file types are special and F-stop is far better on that domain, especially after I purchased the Pro for getting the “Nested folders” feature.

So I would still emphasize, that adding the Webdav functionality to the already existing cloud features in F-Stop would be great.

      Thanks.

Do F-Stop devs look in here at all?

I’m starting to doubt in getting this implemented at all.
        It’s more than 3 years…

      It’s important feature.
Of course, all cloud services should have WRITE support for saving metadata (including tags, rates, favourites, etc.).
      That’s what it’s missing currently.

+1 this is what I miss. Nextcloud support and multi device support, so I have the same images on multiple devices including tags.

Give up on anything regarding this app. Either you like it as it is or not – but apparently nobody of the devs ever look at this board…

I have one question for all of you who miss WebDAV (or any other cloud service). Do you miss a lot functionality to mix local and cloud images or is separation (as is now in F-Stop) good enough?

I’d like to use fstop with my owncloud (webdav)! Mix of local and cloud images is not important – my local images are transfered to the cloud quickly anyway. So separation is no problem for me.

Separation seems to be enough for me, as long as I can browse cloud images. The cloud does not need to be parsed for tags or “All Media”, which would be a huge performance drawback using Webdav.
What could be useful is moving from or to cloud.

To be honest it’s not the best solution to have the Webdav credentials in all single apps like FolderSync, Solid Explorer, and then fstop. A system-wide webdav mount would be better, but it’s the current way that apps need to access Webdav themselves.

it’s important, at least to have the media information (tag) from cloud acceessed pcitures available also in all other view options.

Yup, it is important and that’s really a blocker for me that such feature is missing.
It’s nearly 6 years since this request was created and still no progress.
