ParticipantHello!
I’ve been a long time user of F-Stop Pro and there’s one feature I keep wishing for, and that’s a tags suggestion database.Example :
Me and my friends Anne, Bob and Charlie (A, B and C) often go on parties together, and take pictures.
Anne and Bob were here during the Halloween party. Charlie was here too, but he left early.I’ve tagged 5 of the 50 pictures taken at the Halloween party with the tags
- Anne
- Bob
- Charlie
- Halloween party
and 5 other pictures with the tags
- Anne
- Bob
- Halloween party
Because Charlie had left.
Of course, there are more tags in these pictures, such as “funny hat”, “photobombing”, “memories”, depending on each of the pictures content.
Now, I’m about to tag picture #11, on which we can see Anne and Bob smiling.
I add the tag Halloween Party, I tap a button “Suggest Tags” (or “Related Tags“), and it gives me the follwing:- Anne (100%)
- Bob (100%)
- Charlie (50%)
- Funny hat (10%)
– 100% of the times the tag “Halloween Party” is here, the tags Anne and Bob are here.
– 50% of the times the tag “Halloween Party” is here, the tag Charlie is here.
– 10% of the times the tag “Halloween Party” is here, the tag Funny hat is here. Now, I just have to tap “Anne” and “Bob” to add them as tags, without even having to look them up or type them myself ; the app found them for me. It suggested Charlie since he’s in half the pictures, but I chose not to tap it because I know he’s not in the picture.
Basically, by holding a local database of the relationships between each tag’s “frequency together”, the app could have a new menu suggesting more tags based on the tags already set.
