ParticipantI know you guys have been working on integrating the new system for providing permission to save to the SD card in lollipop. is there any ETA on that? Is there a beta version available to try? I have a hardware issue with my phone (htc one m8) and have to try a factory restore before I can get a replacement but I have a couple hours worth of tagging that has not been saved because the photos are on the SD card. Is there any other way to get those tags save to their files so I can restore my phone and not have to go through and retag them all? they finally released lollipop to those of us with this phone on Verizon and I’m dying to have my SD card back regardless. Thanks!

ParticipantSo I figured out a workaround to save my metadata to my photos that were tagged while on the sd card. It seems that going to “update metadata” in the menu, then selecting all and using the move function to move the photos to the internal memory will also save the tags into the photos. Now I can factory reset my phone, but I’m still Jonesing in for sd card support.

ParticipantId like to throw my vote in as well. not for tags but to move/delete photos. i noticed when i “deleted” a photo from the app it disappeared from the view. but when i went to a file manager on android the picture was still in there. maybe i did it wrong, but it seemed like it should have deleted off the phones memory.
It would also be cool to create folders using the app.

ParticipantI have just updated my Note 4 to lollipop, I had seen that Google have provided a way to access the SD card. I have a file manager called X-plore, this gained full SD card access with a one time only action on my part. I add my plea for F-stop to be able to do this too – as soon as may be!! I saw that something different may be needed for some types of file but X-plore has no problem creating and deleting folders and copy, moving and deleting .jpg files.
I have to say that at the moment X-plore is the only 3rd party app I have found that has SD card access. -

ParticipantNo fstop is probably the only app I have found that won’t write. Quickpic will write to ext sd card. I emailed fstop and they said they are working on it. So I appreciate they updated me.
