Scrolling while zooming into high-res images let the app jump to the next image

During the zooming process of images that need some time to load (in my case 24 mp jpeg 100%) it is hard to figure out when the loading is finished. When you start scrolling through the maximized (i think low-res) but not completely loaded image, the viewer jumps to the next image.
Is it possible to allow scrolling through the unfinished but however low-res maximized image and prevent these undesired jumps to the next image? The behaviour in the app quickpic is exact like i would it to have in your great photo app.
I use marshmallow in version 6.0.1 on a galaxy s7.
