Ever since upgrading my home server to ubuntu 20.04, my CIFS/Samba share is not available to f-stop anymore. If I try to create a new connection to it, f-stop even says “Error: Please check server name” (which is correct of course; at least, I tried putting the IP address in there, or a domain name that resolves to the correct machine on the internal network).
Other applications work just fine (think VLC, Solid Explorer etc).
Any idea what’s the cause of this? I tried downgrading the server to a lower version of SMB protocol, but that did not seem to help.
Hi all
I have the similar problem. Is there a solution?
Hi
I have the same problem and error.
Any solution?
I have this issue as well. SMB is working on other machines and in Solid Explorer.
Are there any news regarding this issue?
Fstop needs an upgrade to smb2 due to the widely commented on problems with smb1. I hope the Dev can do it soon …
