ParticipantHello, dear developers.
I have been using your excellent image viewer app, F-Stop pro, for years and recommend it to those around me as the best image viewer app.
However, I would like to report an issue related to ‘fast scrolling’ that has been bothering me for years.
F-Stop has a feature that allows for fast scrolling by dragging the scrollbar, and I also find this feature useful.
However, there is a bug where, even when you touch an image thumbnail after releasing your finger from the scrollbar following such fast scrolling, the image is not selected but fast scrolling is performed instead.
Even when you select an image or want to drag and scroll slowly, the fast scroll state is maintained, resulting in unintended fast scrolling.
What is even more frustrating is that this bug does not occur every time. Although I have not been able to pinpoint the exact conditions under which it occurs, in my experience, it happens intermittently when there are approximately 1,000 or 2,000 or more images in a folder. Since the exact frequency or conditions under which this occurs are unknown, it is difficult to reproduce intentionally; however, it definitely happens, and once it starts, it is quite annoying and inconvenient.
One might consider limiting the number of images in a folder to 1,000 or fewer to avoid this bug, but this is not a fundamental solution because the same phenomenon occurs when viewing by rating or tag if the number of images is high in the viewer that uses those criteria.
The device used is a Samsung Galaxy, and I am not sure how it would be on other Android or Apple phones. Are there others experiencing this issue?
I am sorry to ask you to solve this problem, as I also do not know the exact cause or conditions under which it occurred; however, since it is a discovered bug, I am reporting it just in case.
Thank you always for making such a great app.
