Right now it does not appear that you can point a file in offline mode to a new location.
I have a little bit of an obsession with hiarchies, so I tend to use albums instead of tags. However, if a file gets moved outside of fstop, any organizing I have done with albums is then unable to be matched to the media.
This is actually strongly related to my other request.

Yes, this is an issue with standard albums. Once the original file gets moved, we have no way of knowing where it went. I would suggest using smart albums using conditions such as specific tags or ratings to keep the albums organized. Also keep in mind that if you use sidecar files, external programs will not move the sidecar file with the image so you might lose the metadata that way as well.
