Hi,
“Startup screen” is missing the two most valuable options: “Navigation drawer” and definitively “Bookmarks”.
See, most people organize / categorize their pictures in folders, which are all located in one parent folder. So the “Nested folder view” is top choice here.
However, one will also need access to other folders which are unfortunately scattered throughout the system, like DCIM, screenshots and screen recordings, the folders “downloads” and “pictures”, various application folders … turning the folders/nested folders view into a nightmare. Smart Albums would be a way better choice to condense and handle that kind of stuff..
That terrible “either-or” principle ruins literally every gallery app out there! Whatever view mode is chosen, it’s not suitable for other tasks, But within F-Stop, every bookmark can lead to a different and therefore appropriate view mode. It’s the best of all worlds, combined site by site within one place. That-is-perfect! That is what people need but do not find anywhere.
So: Are you aware that turning “Bookmarks” into a view mode (and consequently the “Startup screen” of choice) would make it a unique selling point?
