lots of orange x's with no images

When viewing my camera folder in the folders view mode, There is a section with blue header titled “unknown date”
that contains hundreds of orange x’s where image thumbnails would be, but the thumbnails are not visible and I cant delete them…anyone else had this?screenshot

Answering my own question….the orange x’s were removed by deselecting the “use offline mode” setting under settings>main
