      Is it possible to set a user-defined order of your pictures in an album. Means moving the thumbnails to a wished position and saving this view.

      yes, switch in your album, top right menu select “set custom order”, now you can select the thumbnails, hold an move to the desired position. Then use back, and the new order will be saved.Or on the top you can save it too.
