      Now that Samsung supports the HEIC (mime type image/heic) image format in their camera app it’s essential that F Stop get support to embed the metadata directly in the image files and not as a sidecar. The main purpose of F Stop is to integrate nicely with the photos taken by the phone. Rating and tagging is at least the main reason I use F Stop.
      HEIC significantly reduces file sizes to about half (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_Efficiency_Image_File_Format#HEIC:_HEVC_in_HEIF), which is one of the main benefits of using the format. Apple has used this format for a while now, so it’s ubiquitous.
