Crop beyond image size (Resize)

I’m trying to make a rectangle image a square using its longest side. Currently F-Stop only allows me to crop to the inside of the image. I would like it to make it a square by adding a solid background (select color in settings) beyond the image dimensions.

For example make a 1080×720 image 1080×1080 with bars on top and bottom.

F-Stop currently does not allow enlarging when cropping.
