Put the keyword AND between the tags and should work.
    e.g. selfie AND beach

There is also an OR operator. But sadly the rest of the search syntax is non-existent or un-documented. We users asked for a proper search syntax some years ago but nobody answers. (Like most forum entries)

Please add a proper search syntax with all the basic search operators that are common for decadea like + – * () and keywords/fields like date: tag: exif: file: dir: album: …

Plus: This should not only work in the search input box but also in the filter input box.

Please make the forum and sub forums searchable. Otherwise it is impossible to check what bug reports or feature requests exist already before adding new one.

I recently have been in contact with one of the FStop team (via e-mail). He assured that Fstop is still active and under development.

From outside I find it difficult to judge this because nobody knows who “the FStop team” iis, how many people they are, etc. All a very black (and quiet) box.

A pity nobody answered this request.
    I vote for that.
It is so frustratibg to sit in front of your phone for minutes to hours starring at that rotating blue circle not knowing what happens or whether the app hangs.
Please, implement a progress indicator when tagges are stored (something meaningful like “media file 125 of 327 processed”).

Can some of the fstop developers reply to this topic?

I took an effort to collect some related forum topics. All point into a direction that users have a need for a more powerful search syntax. Are you working on this?

    Search syntax for ratings:

Minus or Not operator in search:

Search syntax for a part of the date:

I am waiting for a NOT operator for some years. Can you give me some hope that a NOT operator (minus) will be implemented in the near future?

Great idea. But from 2015. What is the status of this feature request? Is a note / description function (via standard metadata) implemented or will it be on the near future?

I want to search for ratings. That means I want access the ratings data via the search feature.

Practical example: I return from a holiday trip to france with 600 fotos. I tagged and rated theem. I want to show the at least 3 star pictures to some family members. I want send the 5 star pictures with the tag landscape to a friend. I want to show the at least 2 star pictures with the tag beach to another friend. i want to show the at least 4 star pictures with the tag paris to my colleagues. And so on…

In all of that cases I still need the the full feeedom of sorting the fotos in chronological order. That is why first search for the tah and then sorting by rating is no option.

I totally refuse to create numerous temporary smart albums for each case. That is what a search is intended for.

It is as simple as that: The search function needs some syntax for ratings (and the favourite heart as well). Something like *=1 *=2 *>3 *>=2 *3-5.

Yes, it is really annoying that so much apps destroy exif and iptc data – without any warning.

I use ‘Photo Editor’ from iudesk.com (DevMacgyver). It preserves image meta data and you can create edit and remove meta data.

Why has nobdy from the fstop team answered that question?
It seems to be the case that the fstop search does not understand a NOT or – (minus) operator? I consider this a basic and essential feature of a search function.

Glad to read that you will fix that “bug”. Most of my cameras don’t include a timezone information.

Just want to second that request. Besides the description field I want to use f-stop to edit the following copyright field.
